What Is Balayage?
At The Salon at Lakeside, we are often asked what is Balayage? Or, even how to pronounce it!
Pronounced “baa-lay-ahge”, in the French language it is the meaning “to sweep” or ” to paint”, and applies to a hair color technique which our skilled artists use to positively affect the hair color of our salon clients.
This technique allows a natural blending or “melting” of tones seamlessly giving a sun-kissed effect. It’s an artist’s individual approach to creating a unique blend of color to each client’s look. Applying foil displays the dimensions of distinct separate colors and the outcome is usually more patterned.

How Long Does Balayage Last?
Balayage lasts approximately 8-12 weeks due to the wonderful blending of the new growth with the shadow color of the balayage root. Typically any tone of balayage, blonde, brunettes, or reds all will have a shadow color as this picture shows.
Making it easy to enjoy your color without a line of regrowth.
How Much Does Balayage Cost?
Balayage is usually $200.00 + up depending on length and thickness of the hair.
A consultation is best to decide an accurate price for individual clients according to color choices.
